EVRAZ launched a new blast furnace No.7 at Nizhny Tagil Steel Plant.
EVRAZ CEO Alexander Frolov, Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Evgeniy Kuyvashev, Managing Director of EVRAZ NTMK and EVRAZ KGOK Aleksey Kushnarev and Head of Nizhny Tagil Sergey Nosov took part in the opening ceremony.
The volume of the new furnace will be 2200 m3, design capacity – 2.5 million tons of pig iron per year. The blast furnace has two casthouses with fully closed main and transportation chutes, automated top and bottom raw charging system, shaftless air heaters and powerful aspiration plants.
EVRAZ plc (LSE: EVR) ("EVRAZ" or the "Company") announces today that its wholly-owned subsidiary FEGILTON LTD signed an agreement to dispose its entire share in DRAMPISCO LTD, a holding company of EVRAZ DMZ (“EDMZ”) to SENALIOR INVESTMENTS LIMITED (a company of the DCH Group) for approximately US$106 million, adjustable for an amount of actual working capital and net financial debt of EDMZ and for fair value of the issued guarantees (“the Transaction”).

EVRAZ and Russian Railways (RZD) have signed a new long-term agreement for the supply of rail products. The document comes into force on 19 February 2018 and will be valid for five years.
EVRAZ ZSMK has shipped 1,650 tons of the 54 Е1 European profile rails to Greece. The rails will be used for the expansion of the Athens Metro to Piraeus port city.
